Douglas the Corgi - Maya Rig
Introduction
Meet Douglas the Corgi! He might be small in stature, but he has a big heart, is eager to please, and he is free to a good home.
Douglas is free to download and use for non-commercial purposes only, such as 11s club contest, animation practice, demo reel shots, etc. A more detailed terms of use can be found below and is included with the download.
My goal with this character and rig was to bring my favorite dog breed to life inside of Maya and to give animators an extremely expressive, lovable dog rig to practice with. Creating this rig and character has been a massive learning experience for me and he will hopefully be the first of many characters I release!

3. You are forbidden from using Douglas in any content that is excessively violent, promotes animal abuse, or is pornographic in nature. Please try to keep content containing Douglas PG-13.
4. Crediting me for the rig is not required, but is very much appreciated. However, I reserve the right to use any uploaded videos containing Douglas for promotional purposes (e.g. A video showcasing multiple animation pieces with my rig). Proper credit WILL be provided for any video I use.

v1.3.1 (12/20/20):
- Fixed an issue with lip controls not properly scaling with global rig scale at extreme scale values.
v1.3 (7/18/20):
- Major performance overhaul. Playback speed has gone from around 2-4 fps up to 20-22 fps in parallel evaluation! (Testing done in Maya 2018.6 with a Threadripper 1920x and a GTX 1080)
- Fixed paw and foot squash not behaving as expected with rotations.
- Some shaper and facial controls will follow and move differently, but under the hood they behave the same. (e.g. neck shapers)
- Corrective shape deformations may activate a little differently than before (This is a non-destructive update, but in some scenarios you may need to tweak a few controls for better deformations).
- Removed subdivisions option from master_settings_EX
v1.2 (3/4/20):
- Reworked the spine set up so the spine top IK control no longer causes unpredictable spine deformations when both spine IK controls are moved away from the spine FK controls. It should now be possible to fully animate with the spine IK controls rather than being forced to use both FK and IK.

- Fixed flipping issue on the tail and tongue when curled too far in the X axis.
- Adjusted some skin weights on the nose tip.
